Emotional IQ Leadership Assessment What is this assessment? This is an assessment that is designed to give you a report on your personal strengths and weaknesses related to emotional intelligence. What's included. The assessment is 70 questions long. It takes you through our model of leadership emotional intelligence. You will receive a custom report back that outlines where you can best use your own strengths and suggestions as to how to increase your emotional IQ. You will receive access to additional resources that are not included on the public website. Because so much of emotional intelligence is about awareness, just taking the assessment is educational in itself. Your report is broken into 4 areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. Self-Assessment. This is a self-assessment, which means that you are the only person who knows how you responded, what you said, and how your rate yourself. That also means that it is only as accurate as your perception of your self. It also means that the more objective you are about yourself, the more accurate the results will be. No bad scores. You will receive a score of high, medium, or low on the assessment. You will also receive scoring based on the sub-sections of emotional intelligence. Even if you get a score of low, that is not necessarily bad. These scores are dynamic and changeable. Emotional intelligence is not something you are born with, it is learned, developed, and practiced. Any score you receive is good, because it is good that you are taking the time to learn about yourself. That basic curiosity is the precursor to high emotional intelligence. Validity This assessment has construct validity based on Goleman's research outlined in Primal Leadership.
